I´m calling my movie afternoon my $5 entertainment day. That´s what the whole thing costs me - 35 pesos for my ticket, 10 for the bus trip there and back, and 16 for the vanilla latte and donut deal at the supermarket cafe afterwards. Wandering around the shops is a free bonus, as is the airconditioning in the cinema.
The bus trip can be entertaining, with a driver who alternates flat out on the accelerator with standing on the brakes, it´s not always good for my neck! I´m amazed at how many people can be squeezed onto a bus which is supposed to hold 14, and how rather large bottoms can ease into seats where I didn´t think there was room for a child. It´s certainly worth the 5 pesos-
